We’re only $5,000 away - help us close the gap
We're in the final stretch. Our attorneys have drafted an outstanding comment letter for the Board, and the applicant just filed a new legal maneuver trying to force the rezone through with less Board discretion. Responding to it, bringing in expert witness testimony, and finalizing our letter takes real resources; we're currently $5,000 short of our $15,000 goal. Every dollar goes directly toward giving Cedar Ridge the strongest possible case when it counts most.
We received many cash and check donations, and you can contact me directly to arrange an in-person meeting if you don’t want to donate online. Donations online and in person can and will be kept strictly confidential.

We’re at the most critical phase of the phone call campaign. Its impact has been immense.
We’re now directly addressing each of the other supervisors:
Heidi Hall (District 1)
Robb Tucker (District 2)
Sue Hoek (District 4)
Hardy Bullock (District 5)
Sample Script (feel free to personalize):
“"Hi, my name is _______________, and I'm a resident of Nevada County. I'm calling to urge you to oppose the Hidden Grove development in Cedar Ridge. This project raises serious concerns including wildfire risk, toxic exposure, evacuation safety, traffic on narrow roads, groundwater impacts, and the precedent it sets for spot-rezoning rural centers countywide. The applicant's own radio ads and testimony make promises about affordable family housing and a true live-work community that his own project documents don't actually require or guarantee — please don't let a misleading ad campaign substitute for a real review of what's on paper. Your own planning staff recommended reducing the size and scope of this project, and residents have raised these same concerns at every Board meeting. Please listen to them, and please vote to deny this project."

We hold petition signings every Saturday, from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM, in Cedar Ridge, across from the convenience store, next to the hair salon. Next Signing: Saturday, July 11, 2026. Additional signings occur at Thursday Night Markets and elsewhere, as time and scheduling allows.
If you can’t come in person, there is an electronic version that you can sign here. (please don’t sign both). Note that the electronic version doesn’t reflect the current paper signature count, which is over 2,000 as of 7/8/2026.
